“A perfect candidate for spatial audio because it’s simply too ambitious and grandiose for a traditional two-speaker soundstage to contain.”

Three ways to hear it
You do not need a room full of speakers. One download covers all three.
01
Headphones
A binaural mix made for headphones — any pair, nothing else to buy. It also comes as plain WAV files you can drop onto a phone.
02
5.1 Surround
A full 5.1 mix for a home theater — or a car — included as lossless FLAC files.
03
Dolby Atmos
The complete Atmos mix in lossless Dolby TrueHD, for a system with height speakers, with a visualizer film running through all nine tracks.
What changes
The drums, bass, lead vocal and rhythm guitars stay in front of you. The keyboards, strings, percussion and stacked vocal harmonies move out to the sides, behind you and overhead. “Storms” opens with the toms pounding behind you.
It was always headed here. Producer Ian Beabout has said that much of the tracking and stereo mixing was done with a future immersive version in mind; Jonathan Cornell of Immersive Audio Album built it.
